Rossine Lyandre Yao C. Fallorina has been selected as the Philippine Sociological Society’s intern for the year 2015-2016. Ross is a second year student at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He was the former Vice President for Finance and Marketing in the UP Diliman Debate Society and has been recently elected as the Vice-Chairperson for Socio-civic Affairs in SocioSphere, the Sociology core group in UP Diliman.
As an intern, Ross will take the lead in managing the PSS National Conference’s Secretariat and other PSS activities. His skills and impressive track record with organizing big events can contribute in the smooth and efficient implementation of PSS projects. Asked about his thoughts about the internship, Ross shared that he “hopes to learn what it takes to be an adept sociologist and researcher through the hands-on training and interaction with notable professionals in the social sciences.”
He will be succeeding Pamela Combinido, the current intern of the Society. Pam graduated magna cum laude from UP Diliman last June. PSS would like to salute Pamela for her invaluable contribution to the organization in the past year.
