Prince Kennex Aldama is Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at UP Los Baños. He finished BA in Sociology (cum laude) in 2013 and MA in Sociology in 2019, both at UPLB. His research interest is in the sociology of religion. His forthcoming publication with The Review of Faith & International Affairs (Scopus) for a special series on pluralism and religious conflict around the world was co-written with Dr. Jayeel Cornelio. It tackles the state of religious diversity in the Philippines. Prince also authored a major textbook for college, The Contemporary World (2018). He also writes opinion pieces for Rappler and Philippine Daily Inquirer to make his works accessible to the public. As an active PSS member, He regularly presents papers during the annual conference. He also participated in the SocioCaravan lecture series held at the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology in 2019.Prince intends to build on his existing relationships with peers in PSS to make the organization more visible in Southern Luzon. He intends to take advantage of the growing interest in the sociology especially among students in the region. He considers it a privilege to work for PSS in a more engaged capacity to advance its works in understanding contemporary issues in Philippine society.
