Septrin Calamba is assistant professor at the Department of Sociology, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) where he also finished his BA and MA in Sociology respectively. He is actively engaged in both research and extension of the university particularly in the aspects of youth, governance, conflict and disasters, and community development. On top of his academic functions, he is currently the coordinator of the Center for Local Governance Studies (CLGS) and member of the technical working group of Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) in MSU-IIT.
