Michel Chossudovsky: 2017 PSS National Conference Plenary Speaker
Michel Chossudovsky is the plenary speaker of the 2017 PSS National Conference which will be held at the University of the Philippines – Cebu on October 5-7, 2017 with the theme “The Sociology of Justice”.
Chossudovksy is a Professor of Economics (Emeritus) at the University of Ottawa Canada, Founder and Director of the Centre for Research on Globalization (CRG) Montreal, and Editor of Global Research. He has authored eleven books that look into the idea of both justice and economics.
His books include The Globalization of Poverty and The New World Order (2003), America’s “War on Terrorism” (2005), The Global Economic Crisis, The Great Depression of the Twenty-first Century (2009) (Editor), Towards a World War III Scenario: The Dangers of Nuclear War (2011), and The Globalization of War: America’s Long War against Humanity (2015).
He is also a member of the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission (KLWCC) which initiated the indictment against George W. Bush et.al “for crimes of torture and war crimes” and on “crimes of genocide” against the State of Israel. Because of his writings on NATO’s war of aggression on Yugoslavia, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit of the Republic of Serbia in 2014.
