The Philippine Sociological Society echoes the call of our colleagues from the Ugnayang Pang-Aghamtao (UGAT/Anthropological Association of the Philippines) to put an end to the terrorist-tagging of indigenous community leaders. We are especially concerned that this move by the Department of Justice compromises the safety of our indigenous communities and undermines decades-long work in securing peace and justice among the most marginalized sectors of our country.
