Raquelyn J. Dadang

Raquelyn Jumawan-Dadang is a Sociology professor from Central Mindanao University (CMU) with research interests on environmental conservation and protection, sustainable development, social issues, women, and the elderly. Her engagement in research enables her to present papers in local, national and international conferences, and publish in refereed journals. She earned PhD in Sociology and Masters in Sociology from Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, and the degree Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Central Mindanao University. She has been in the government service for more than 20 years. Before joining CMU, she was the Campus Director at Camiguin Polytechnic State College. When she transferred in CMU in 2014, she served as the Department Chairperson of the Behavioral Sciences Department and the curator of the University Museum-Anthropology section. Currently, she is the chair of the Institutional Ethics Review Committee, the Coordinator of the Biodiversity Public Awareness of the Center for Biodiversity in Research and Extension in Mindanao, and recently been elected as the secretary of CMU Faculty Association Incorporated. She is an active member of the Philippine Sociological Society and the Local Convener of the 2019 PSS Conference.
