Helina Jean Perez-Dupa is an Assistant Professor and a former Research Development and Extension Coordinator (designate) of the Institute of Education and Teacher Training at Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology (DOSCST) in Mati City. She is currently designated as Director for Sports and Wellness Development Center. She is also handling undergraduate courses such as the Professional Education and The Contemporary World. She is a former College and Board Secretary and Department Chair of the same school. Her fascination with social research steered her to pursue Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan as a CHED-HEDP II scholar.

At present, she is engaged in crafting a Module for the New GEC “The Contemporary World,” a CHED-funded project with Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, Bukidnon State University, and Mountain View College. Presently, she is affiliated to the Philippine Sociological Society (PSS) as one of the Board of Directors cum Board Secretary.
