Phoebe Zoe Maria U. Sanchez is Associate Professor of History and Sociology at the University of the Philippines in Cebu. She took her undergraduate BSE History and Master of Arts in History at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, and finished PhD in Sociology at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

She engages in Sociology of Work and Labor; Public Sociology; Diagnosing Problems in Governance; Community Organizing for Community Development (COCD); Participatory Community Development Research; Local/Oral Historical Research; Community Development and Institutional Strengthening.

Her works have been published in the Global Science Technology Forum (GSTF) Journal of Law and Social Sciences, DANYAG Journal of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas, the Center for Research in Globalization and the Asia Pacific Research.
